robby, good to have you. i want you to make the case for why the voters should care about donald trump's potential connections to russia. what do you see that they may not? >> well, chris, the issue here is that the fbi has been anonymously leaking information. we're told they're investigating one of trump's former campaign managers. we're told that they're investigating a gentleman that trump himself said was one of his foreign policy advisers for meeting with sanctioned officials in russia. but the fbi won't reveal who they're investigating and what they might be finding. you saw there was a letter from senator reid saying they had potentially explosive information. director comey felt it was incumbent upon him to announce that the fbi had some information he'd never even looked at, but they won't reveal connections to russia. we know that the russians, based on what 17 agencies have all agreed on that, the russians stole e-mails from the dnc, they stole e-mails from our campaign, and it was james comey at

robby, what's your reaction to fbi director comey's announcement, and why do you think he did it? >> chris, thanks for having me. you know, we were very surprised by this letter. what we're asking at this point is director comey get all the information out on the table, all of it, so the american people can judge for themselves. this issue was vetted through for months. director comey came to a conclusion. we believe the voters have already made up their minds on this issue. so we find it very strange that ten days out, that he's putting this letter out there. and we discovered last night from yahoo! news that he and the justice department may not have a warrant to look at these messages. we just want all the information out there. >> why do you think he did it? >> i don't know. and this is the problem, chris. this letter was put out there. we have no information whatsoever about what might be in those e-mails. again, according to yahoo! news , it appears he may not have seen any of these e-mails at all. so we think he has a responsibility to the american people to get the informa

robby mook with the clinton kellyanne, you're a professional pollster. let's start there with the numbers, which quite frankly don't look very good for donald trump at this point. let me put some of them up on the screen in a four-way race, he trails clinton by more than five points. among women, he trails by 15 points. that's important because women are voting early in big numbers in florida and north carolina. kellyanne, how do you turn this around in two weeks? >> thanks for having me, chris. so by taking the case directly to the voters. th he's in three states yesterday. he'll be in florida for a few days. we look at some of the early voting returns in places like iowa and ohio, and we're doing much better than previous candidates, in large part because we invested in the absentee ballot early voting procedures. also, i think he does it in a way that he gave the speech yesterday in gettysburg. with teeth to have lifetime bans on lobbying. term limits for members of congress. >> kellyanne, didn't he step on his serious agenda for the first hundred day

another thing i wanted to ask you about healing question, robbie. if -- can't one make the argument from the right, the, you know, kind of devil's advocate that if liberals are going to be great supporters of tolerance and diversity and change, why can't they be more tolerant and diverse of people who differ from them, differ with them ideologically? isn't that the argument where conservatives still have a case to make? >> well, i mean, it depends, right? the whole idea of -- is whether we're talking about principles or just tolerance of everything, right? that's never really been the argument. so, i mean, one of -- russell moore at the southern baptist convention is one of the more interesting figures who's trying to to figure this out, i talk about him in the book, who is really trying to accept their de-centered place in the world. and as you saw that chart from the 1950s, you know, sort of nine straight years of decline, and he's trying to sort of, like, think about like, okay, what does it mean then to be a counter-cultural church, right? but i

[inaudible] congratulations for making me look bad. first of all, i do have to say if somebody who's written books, edited a book review and rate the lot but i have to say this is when you really want to read because in the mouse server io of elections, and makes them that the book that would eliminate it as isn't really just about politics. this isn't an election is just about politics or we wouldn't be at the place we are just now. it's about a kind of cultural protests. it is about america being divided against itself in just the way robbie has taught about. i want to just pick up on a few things you said and just have you eliminate him a little bit. first of all, i will ask the audience to do a bit of a sonics pyramid that i came up with a number of years ago. if you remember, a big figure in our politics, our culture was led back. in 2009 and 2010, he was one of the most visible and vocal people in america appeared on the cover of "time" magazine and his big fox show back in the

her book, led her to form the robbie foundation. when robbie died, he was working as a welder. it was part of a bright future for him. so his foundation is about providing that opportunity to others. maybe even to the people accused of taking his life. >> i would not want them taking another mother's child away. and so yes, if we have a program that could help the very people who did this to my son, i'm for that. because what's the alternative? i don't accept that. so the vocational program offers opportunities for youth and ex-offenders. >> reporter: it doesn't stop there. patty says at its core, the mission of robbie's foundation is about change. >> the weapon that was used to kill robbie was illegally obtained. they went and sold that on the streets again, and it was used in another crime. >> reporter: for the foundation to make change on that level, she needed more help. from law enforcement, the schools, the mayor, and artists. so she reached out, and the first meeting for a project called art of peace had an overwhelming turn out. >> each and every single person i invited

robby: there were a lot of headwinds in this race. the first woman to be the party, jake:major why is her being a woman in inhibiting? robby: having worked for a few women candidates, i think they face certain scrutiny that male candidates do not. sometimes, people talk about the way hillary spoke during a speech. i did not hear her remark about male candidates that way. theink the bigger issue is russian intelligence, our intelligence agencies confirmed russian intelligence stole emails from our campaign chair and selectively leaked them out with the purpose of intervening in the election and helping donald trump. we faced these headwinds the whole way through. that was tough and i think it is -- it absolutely affected the outcome. jake: you took over when donald trump re-cast two of his more controversial proposals -- the ban on muslims entering the until we figured out what the hell was going on and the deportation force to round up undocumented and -- undocumented immigrants and remove them from the country. he never explicitly re
