this was at 11:15 last night in east williamsburg. this is where investigators say the 33-year-old man got into a fight with another man while riding the subway. the victim was slashed on the neck and then got out at myrtle avenue. he's now being treated for a puncture wound. the slashing in east williamsburg was one of two slashings late last night. investigators say at 10:30 in east new york a man and woman approached an 18-year-old on the street. the teen was slashed on the face. we're told this was not a robbery, the motive still unclear. slashings and stabbings in the city are up just over 20% from this time last year. mayor de blasio says it's important to remember 1% of these situations are random. >> what has really gripped new yorkers is could it be randomly something that happens to me? thank god the answer is it's very, very rare, and in the few cases it's happened, most of those folks have already been caught. >>reporter: both of these victims recovering this at this time, though, no arrests have been made. live in east wi
