the storm system that brought us so much bad weather yesterday moved on up into eastern canada. the cold front well offshore. but this is still causing some problems. it is a big snuff storm that it is still creating a lot of wind here in the southeastern part of the country between this rae her deep low pressure system and high pressure which is centered in the central plains. a lot of moisture has been wrap be around the system. we continue it see the clouds it is beginning to stop now. it is drying out and so we're starting to see some clearing. in fact, it is clear along the coast. we are seeing clearing taking place now in the midlands. it will be happening upstate as well. temperatures have been on the cool side today. in fact, right now, it is 46 in anderson. 48 in greenwood. 53 for columbia and sumter. 55 in orangeburg. 57 along the coast. the winds are still up there. we are seeing sustained winds here in columbia at 25 miles per hour. 21 in sumter and in orangeburg. factor in the wind gusts, this is what it looks like. we are still seeing winds gusting 30 to 35 miles p
