in blacksburg, dawn jefferies, wsls 10. we also learned today that there are new charges filed against one of the virginia tech students police say was involved in nicole lovell's death. 19-year-old natalie keepers is now facing a felony that could land her in prison for the rest of her life. wsls 10's bethany teague got a copy of keepers' new arrest warrant. she joins us live in blacksburg as part of our team coverage. bethany.. what did you find out? virginia tech student natalie keepers is now charged with accessory before the fact to first degree murder. david eisenhaur is still charged with first degree murder in what we now know was the stabbing death of nicole lovell. keepers was originally charged with accessory after the fact and concealing or transporting a dead body. accessory after the fact carries a carries ten years. this new charge.. accessory before the fact.. carries a possible sentence of 20 years to life in prison. commonwealth attorney mary pettitt announced the new charges during a news conference today

and i'm dawn jefferies. it's been two days since the e- f-3 tornado touched down in appomattox county ... bringing with it winds up to 165-miles-per- hour. the damage is extensive ... and today ... families ... emergency crews ... and volunteers are lending their support to those in need. storm team ten chief meteorologist jeff haniewich is on the ground in evergreen toured the devastation today ... he has the latest on the public safety agencies like the national guard are planning their roles in the cleanup after governor terry mcauliffe declared a state of emergency wednesday following the tornadoes that touched down across the commonwealth. wsls ten's rachel lucas has more on how soldiers are helping in appomattox county. there is still a lot of work to be done, a lot of debris, downed trees. it's going to take a while l but i can tell you we have been here since early yesterday morning and in that time a lot of progress has been made.. and the national guard has really made a difference. vo we have had
