jessica reyes is monitoring the roads from hopkinton. good morning, jess. >> jessica: hi, daniel, good morning to you. the temperature is significantly and improved significantly as well. we have been showing you this street here west main street in hopkinton all morning long and you can see it is a smooth sailing at this point. much different scene than what we were seeing about five hours ago when we first went on the air at 4:30 this morning. it has been icy and snowy and has been up until 7:00 this morning. this ground right here, it was pretty much solid ice several hours this morning, but you could see melted significantly at this point as temperatures have been rising over the last couple of hours. as shiri has been saying, there's a big difference in temperature between where we are and northern massachusetts and know there's going to be a big difference between the morning and afternoon commute today. lots and lots of fog, some police departments including methuen police department already warning about that fog and low visibili

fox25 jessica reyes is at the house now on hatfield street. jess, the driver was thrown from the driver's seat. >> jessica: he was, julie. at this point he is at brigham & women's hospital and airlifted this happened. but it all happened on this home and driver crossed double yellow line and made it through the yard right here, rolled over and hit the front of the house, maybe take a lock into the house and most of the damage at the front of the house and will be able to be repaired and people who live here won't be able to stay here for quite sometime. now, we have video of that suv that was pulled from here just about an hour and a half ago and driver after rolled the suv he was somehow thrown from the arm underneath the suv. it took first responders 20 minutes to get him out from underneath it and airlifted to brigham & women's hospital and waiting for update on his condition at this point. now, there was a woman home. she was actually upstairs sleeping in her bed when this happened. her son says she is just so thankful this didn't happen 3

fox25's jaes jess is live in -- jessica reyes is live in dedham where this happened just before rush hour yesterday. jess, we still don't know how the boy got on the tracks. >> reporter: that's right, daniel. still a lot of questions surrounding that whole part of this investigation, but we do know that this was just a horrific scene here near the end could the station yesterday afternoon. this as rush hour was getting started. it happened on this general stretch of the tracks here in dedham, and we know that the conductor was brought to tears when she figured out what had happened. now it was at 3:55 and headed to franklin but stopped here for more than two hours after the accident. our crews spoke with people on board as they finally get off the train including one woman who saw the conductor get out and check underneath the train car. >> we heard a noise, and the train just slowed down to a stop. emergency. she was crying, she took off her hat. she just looked all distracted. >> reporter: and the district attorney's office has identified the victim acer rick platt of -- victim as

. >> sara: jessica reyes live from marshfield and this area so you some flooding in the storm. >>reporter: it did, sara, the snow stopped falling and dealing with the aftermath. over on ocean street. still a little bit of flooding there right now. we know that schools here are on a two-hour delay as people wake up and start the cleanup process here. during yesterday's storm, the biggest issues near marshfield were winds and coastal flooding that affected homes right on street. the flooding was pretty minor compared to what this area had in the past. the marshfield police chief said no one was hurt during the storm. on top of the coastal flooding during high tide, the snow was relentless. some people telling us they spent hours shoveling but it didn't make much of a difference. >> i know it has to stop i don't know if thank it will ever stop. >> i go go into work. i shoveled earlier but by the time he came home, it didn't look like i did anything. >> reporter: over in scituate, we know also some coastal flooding in the area where it tends to flood during these storms during high

fox25's jessica reyes is live at the home in plymouth. and jess, we had a string of tragic fires over the past few weeks. >> reporter: we have, gene. the fire marshal says this is the 8th house fire in less than a month in massachusetts and urging everyone to be vigilant and make sure that your smoke detectors are working to prevent something like this for happening. we know it happened at this home here. this is pretty far back from the road and as you can probably tell, it is still standing but just a burned-out shell of what it once was. now crews were called to the home on ellisville road right before 8:30 last night and in this video, you can see the flames just engulfing this house. we learned one person was trapped inside the home and along with crews from plymouth, fire fighters from bourne and sandwich were called here to crews last night that a couple this home. we checked in with plymouth fire fighters just a couple of minutes ago and they said although the fire is now out, they do plan to be here for several more hours watchin

fox25 jessica reyes has that new information for us now from the scene on walton street. jess? >> jessica: sara, we talked to him a short time ago. he says he lives in the neighborhood and rushed into the burning home overnight to save the few people inside here. it all started after midnight and chief tells us two sisters and brother all in their 60s lived here together. fire crews found the brother first on floor of the of the home and unconscious and woke up and still inside. crews were able to get one of them out alive but other unfortunately didn't make it. we spoke to nab a short time ago who knows the brother pretty morning. take a listen. >> very nice guy and snow believe lived with two sisters. >> jessica: brother and sister that survived, chief tells us they are surrounded by family members here. the fire started in back bedroom on the second floor of the home. the chief says it is not suspicious. he also tells us that they have a preliminary cause but not releasing that just yet. we will have more information on that coming up tonight on the fox25 morning news at fiv
