katherine scott is live at 30th street station with that story. katherine. >> reporter: matt, nobody was hurt when the object struck the train last night as it was traveling through bridesburg. amtrak officials are trying to determine what the object was. it happened as the national transportation safety board is expected to release a large amount of data that could shed light on the train derailment that happened last spring. let's go to images of the incident last night in bridesburg where you can see the shattered window of the acela express train from washington to new york. it happened around 7:00 p.m. as the train was passing through bridesburg. there were 200 passengers on board and nobody was hurt. federal investigators are trying to determine whether projectile hit the train in last year's train derailment, officials said it is not rare in the area, but it's not clear if it was relevant to the crash. we don't know what caused the crash. 8 people died that night and around 200 injured. investigators say the train was traveling at twice the

katherine scott is live on phil more street. >> reporter: the victim was a 30-year-old man shot while visiting a home in frankford. homicide detectives are investigating in the case. let's go to the video in frankford on the 1800 block of philmoore street. police say there were close to a dozen people inside the home when this happened around 10:30 including four children between the ages of 4 and 8. police say a man walked up opened the unlocked door and reached inside and fired three to five shots. one man was hit in the head. he collapsed on the living room floor and pronounced dead by medics a short time later. the suspect took off on foot running east on fill wearing a dark jacket with write writing on the front maybe a north face jacket. crime scene unit recovered two shell casing fired from a semi automatic gun. all the adults were taken in for questioning as witnesses. >>> we don't have a motive, but the intersection is known for street level narcotics valleys. so in addition to having numerous witnesses that were inside the house, we found numerous cameras right outside. >>>

katherine scott is live at 30th street station with the full story, katherine? >> reporter: matt, nobody was hurt when the object struck the train that was passing through bridesburg. amtrak officials are trying to determine what the object was. this all comes as the national transportation safety board is set to release a large amount of data today that could shed light on what happened in the last year's fatal train derailment. let's look at the photos of the damage as the train was traveling through bridesburg. it happened at 7:00 p.m. on the acela train from washington to new york. amtrak is assessing what the object may be. last night's incident happened not too far away from where the fatal crash occurred last may. federal investigators are trying to determine when a projectile hit that train. officials said it was not rare in that area, but if it did, it is not clear if it was relevant to the crash. 8 people dialed and 200 injured. -- 8 people dialed and 200 injured. the train was traveling at twice the speed limit when it entered the curve at the bridesb

katherine scott is live at the scene of the home invasion on east cambria street. >> reporter: police believe the 41-year-old victim was set up. he was taken to the hospital, with swelling, bleeding, bruising, but he is expected to be okay. the detectives at the east division are investigating the case. police were called out at 1:30 to the 1800 block of came cambrn port richmond report of a home-invasion robbery. they met the 41-year-old victim his apartment showed signs of violent struggle. he said he was inside the apartment with a woman in her mid 20s who he knows from the neighborhood, when two men came in the unlocked front door and announced the robbery. he struggled with one of the men trying to grab the gun, at that point the second man hit him in the head and face with the baseball ballot. >>> when he tried to grab the gun, that's when the second male began striking him in the head and face, to his surprise the female that he was with started scratching him in the face that's when he realized the female obviously had something to do with this. >> reporter: the police believe
