the nationalo virginia, it was in site of john brown's raid 1969. african-americans memorialized brown as a martyr to the slave cause and began making pilgrimages to this location. while everyone else was disagreeing what the war was about, they were saying this war had been about slavery. among the places where african-americans could obtain the college.s was college, which also allowed white borders, although in separate spaces during the summer attempted to exclude african-americans even even then -- even though they had been going since the civil war. -- he was activists in d.c.the black elite and he started protesting against them trying to close the school and he warned them. this is not the right move. this will not be good for the school. he was ultimately writes. african no longer began the school. they stopped attending these school and ultimately the school closed. it showed that african-americans at a very early time were understanding their consumer power in a way that would be increasingly important to them. open the doorroke for them.
