how is that fitting into the work that you all are doing in anticipation of this richmond rally? are you seeing adversaries maligned influence specifically focusing on the richmond rally for example or the gun rights issue? has there been an uptick in foreign inauthentic messages around that? are you working with the platform to detect, identify, and take it down? >> so i can't speak specifically to the event on monday and what we may or may not have seen because it relates to ongoing investigations. what i can say is that in the past we have seen influence attempting to sow social discord. what i would ask everybody to keep doing is to pay attention to where you get your news from and pay attention to what information you're ingesting and reading, because it may not be authentic. we know that for a fact. and unfortunately there is not a good way to stop it. one way that we have combatted this is as you noted is working with social media companies to attempt to identify the profile of what that looks like when it is a false account that's conducting the activity. and of course it

without breaking news this hour from richmond, virginia. nothing especially dramatic happened there today. nothing is on fire. nobody died. a group of americans rallied to defend their constitutional right and did not start a war in the process. the national media are reeling in confusion. once again, it turns out, they know next to nothing about the country. in last fall's elections, as you may remember, virginia turned from red to blue. democrats newly ascended, responded to the demands of donors in new york and l.a. and immediately set about trying to undo hundreds of years on gun laws. they effectively nullified the second amendment in virginia. this morning, thousands of virginia's marched peacefully to protect this as an attack on their rights. under some circumstances, a demonstration to protect the constitution would be considered virtuous. civil disabilit disobedience, ts is what democracy is supposed to look like. the left suggested that they were some form of terrorism. richmond braces for white supremacist militia at gun rally.
