clinton will speak at francis marion university in florence. he was just in columbia last week. tomorrow's event will be at 7:30 university center on campus. the candidates aren't the only ones getting ready for the upcoming primaries. election workers across the palmetto state have also been staying busy. that includes ones in richland county. by noon tomorrow officials are aiming to have more than 500 voting machines in place for the primaries. about one thousand volunteers are also expected to be on hand to help at polling sites around the county. in years past, some locations experienced long lines due to voting machines not working correctly. richland county elections director samuel selph says this year, that should not be an issue. "we have basically about 4 to 5 machines at every polling site. all the machines will not go down at one time. i don't like to say that's an impossibility but i can't see that happening." selph also says his office has already taken 5 thousand requests for absentee ballots. in 2012 richland county took about 2 thousand absentee ballots. in 2012
