i'm also a native and resident of san francisco. i would like like i said at the other meeting, my parents come here from foreign country. they're able to buy a house and raise four. i was able to follow the same thing. i met my wife was able to buy a house and raise for girls. unfortunately, just like a lot of people here sure people here, our kids are not following having the same dream we have. at two daughters that were nurses. one of them could not afford to stay in the cities of it but house in oakland. the other moved in to help her pay the rents. my other two daughters one is a teacher. one is a teachers aide. both going to school both living at home. they can think about buying a house let alone paying the rent to move out. so i do work with-which i hope homeless people all the time. all the stuff we are tonight is true. we have a crisis. for all different groups. but you supervisors are a safety net when it comes to making laws that are kids, grandkids are going to have to live with. i've never seen something like this go

san francisco. i have many more years than the rest of you were born and raised in san francisco. i've seen, actually, it's true that over the years you really can see the results of the small budget for parks and recreation at the services are not there anymore. the conditions of some of the parks have really gone downhill. again, it's not seen over one decade or two but many many decades. when i was growing up i think supervisor farrell also has some of this experience of how the parks and recreation programming was much much stronger than it is today. there was a lot more staff members providing services. the clubs were run by steve parker now, this parks and recreation system has to rent out just about every single thing they can rent out to just balance their budget. so, i am hoping that maybe this is the beginning of a reversal, where we go back to the golden days of parks and recreation. i don't want to see everything reverts back to what it used to the is a lot of times a lot of things are n

in san francisco. she is also one of those leaders that never seeks attention were accolades for her effort. that's all the more reason that we hold that leaders like you who seek no award for your commitment and your hard work in making the city little bit better and a little bit more just and a little bit more equity equitable for our residents every day. so, whether it's keeping up the jefferson hotel your home, also where most lyrically well organized buildings in the city,-i see the jefferson hotel here. or whether it's testifying at a police commission hearing the board of supervisors meeting to improve the quality of life for our children women and men who live there in the tenderloin, rhonda has tirelessly devoted herself to positive action and served all of us. so, thank you so much for being here today and for being the honoree the district 6. i am so proud to know you as you work with you and thank you so much for your work. >>[applause] >> thank you supervisors and everybody else could i wa
