valerie bragg 's life. how are the roads looking there? >> reporter: you can see the roads are visible by the stop light. that is main street. right beside it is gross street. that is a connector street. obviously, the roads are very visible. what you can't see is the slush on the road. that is tricking drivers out there. the slush is making it hard for a lot of drivers to stop. danville public works have slush up. crews have been sending the roads and bridges all morning. that will help with traction. city leaders tell me crews are getting ready to move into the secondary roads and then they will hit the residential areas. with the possibility of freezing rain later on, the city will have crews working overnight as well. >> we monitor the bridges and the roads and determine what we need to do with them, put salt or sand, or whatever we need to do. we play it by ear and see how things go. >> reporter: i went by the public works building earlier today and there was not a single truck in the parking lot.all of the trucks are out doing the be

valerie bragg is live with the very latest. valerie. >> reporter: mark, i have been in contact with sheriff taylor throughout the day and as of case. if you remember last week, there was law enforcement all campus. they set up a barricade out front and not allowing anyone unauthorized to come on to their campus. today looked like any other normal school day. classes were back in session as usual. we did see a car drive through campus while they were there. when i asked sheriff taylor today if they received any leads about this threat, he told me his department is following up on several, and this investigation is still very active. now we are not being told what exactly the threat is. the sheriff taylor did say last week that he is confident his office has to stop this threat, and he assures the community about a quarter of hargrave's students remain on campus throughout the weekend with no incidents reported to us. we will continue to stay on top of this case and bring you the latest information as we get it. live, valerie bra

valerie bragg reports. 3 there's a pretty sight at the end of this long, winding road. neighbors enjoy this view, but not the danger. jerry hagerman- "some of the injuries here have resulted in broken ribs, broken ankles." lionel reynolds lives nearby and says it's all true. lionel reynolds- "i myself tried to step off the boat last summer stepped on slick rock and fell on my hip and almost broke a hip." when he's pulling his boat in...there's no place to step-off. so, he had to use the side, where the debris and rocks are. reynolds- "i had a great big bruise about that." neighbors say they need a dock...and some work done to the ramp itself. a 92-year-old man died last summer when his truck went into the lake. no one knows for sure whether the debris... or if something else caused the truck to go into the lake that day. but no matter what the reason, neighbors say a floating dock would help solve a lot of their safety concerns. 3phillip lovelace, lives nearby - "if you have stuff like this laying on this and you step on it, you can very easily roll an ankle, twist an a
