let's go back to wolf in washington. >> our political directors, you are looking at all the numbers. who showed up and what they won. >> he asked the voters as they showed up, what are you looking for in a candidate quality. this will help explain to everyone watching why ted cruz is where he is. take a look at this. among the voters that said i am looking for a candidate who shares my values, ted cruz is demolishing the field. 37% for cruz and 21% for rubio and 16% for carson and 7% for paul. that is 41% of the republican electorate. that was an important quality. when we asked about the quality of someone who can win, the electability question. rubio and 25% for trump and 22% for cruz and 2% for carly fiorina. not as many caucus goers looking for electability as for someone who shares their values. this quality, telling it like it is, that is the donald trump thing. that is what he is campaigning on. 67% of voters looking for a candidate who said i want someone who tells it like it is. only 15% of the republican caucus going electorate is looking for that quality. with four oust te

let's talk about this with cnn senior political reporter who is in washington. senate majority leader mitch mcconnell was quick to say he didn't think the president should nominate a replacement for scalia. president obama vowed he will nominate someone quickly. how long could the process drag out? >> quite sometime if you look at histor historical, typically they take 67 days on average. the longest when robert -- nomination was rejected three decades ago. that took 108 days. this is poised to smash that record. we are looking at right now mcconnell saying the president should not nominate anyone. if he sticks to his demand and decides not to allow a confirmation vote on the senate floor and if they deny a confirmation hearing in the senate, judiciary committee it is certainly likely there will be no nominee confirmed this year. that means it will drag on to the next presidency. it could take two or three months in the next administration. we can look for more than year. the question is whether or not political pressure will force republicans to change. >> i'm

when you cut taxes by $5 billion and you grow over 400,000 jobs, that is a record that i can take to washington. >> if you add it up, kasich, bush, christie, put carly fiorina in there, even though she's an outside establishment voters, and marco rubio, donald trump would be in the rear-view mirror. but you have this cluster. >> and for kasich, the question is -- he may do well here, but where is he going to do well afterwards? it's hard to see him doing well in south carolina or the super tuesday states. and he does not have the kind of organization that he's built that could actually compete for a national campaign. that is the one thing that jeb does have going for him, while he has burned through a lot of money -- >> it's why ted cruz's campaign is quietly cheering for jeb bush. the ultimate representative of the establishment. but cruz's folks are cheering for jeb here in new hampshire because they want jeb, and more importantly, they want jeb's super pac to keep going to south carolina and keeping its fire on marco. >> we know there are a lot of evangelical tea party members in the south.

i covered his trip as he came to philadelphia washington, new york. what is the security like for him in mexico? >> he does have a heavy security detail. the police say they have every level of armed forces police, you name it, they're out there. but they did say it was only about 10,000 strong. it seems far shy of what we saw in brazil. the papal trip i covered as well. nonetheless it's clear that they are concerned and determined to make this visit safe. considering he is visiting some of the most dangerous corners of mexico. from his visit today to the sprawling slum just north of mexico city to chiapas and michuacan and ending up in juarez. security is a big issue and i don't think they're taking it lightly. he spoke, he challenged that, what i found interesting was that both sides really welcome him. it's hard to argue with the pope. mexico has its own divisions, what's his reaction there among mexican leaders as he speaks tough words on some of these issues like corruption and the drug trade. >> you get a similar balance here, jim. in the sense
